What to expect

My aim is to provide you with ongoing support and care, offering tailored lifestyle and dietary advice to optimise your well-being and help you achieve long-lasting results.

Initial consultation (up to 1 hour 30 minutes)

Your first session begins with a thorough consultation to understand your main concerns, medical history and overall health. This allows me to build a clear picture of how symptoms present for you as a whole person. From this, we proceed with an acupuncture treatment tailored to your needs, which may include techniques such as moxibustion, cupping or gua sha where appropriate.

Follow-up treatments (up to 1 hour)

Each follow-up session builds on the previous one, supporting change over time. Where helpful, I may also offer lifestyle or dietary guidance. The number of treatments varies depending on the individual and the condition, but a course of six to eight acupuncture treatments is usually recommended.

  • The number of treatments varies depending on many factors like constitution and whether the condition is acute or chronic. • Acupuncture may present some very mild side effects. At times a tiny bruise can form where the needle has been inserted. Cupping and Gua Sha may be used during an acupuncture treatment. Cupping leaves a bruise that usually fades after a day, but can last for up to six weeks. The same time length is applied to the mark caused by Gua Sha.
